Education Scholarship

Social Activities

Turkey SMA Foundation organizes various social events in addition to monthly scholarship support in order to support the educational and personal development of its scholars. These events are held in a wide range from seminars to events on national holidays. In addition, we contribute to the social development of scholars through activities such as expert interviews and focus group studies.

Application Criteria

Will continue or start their education in the Future Support Education Scholarship program in 2024-2025

• All SMA patients receiving formal education or home education
• Siblings of individuals with SMA who continue formal education
• Children of individuals with SMA who continue formal education can apply.

For each scholarship candidate, the application file must be prepared separately with all documents.

• It is mandatory to provide complete and accurate information in the application file.
• Documents must be current and valid.
• All documents received via e-government must be received with a barcode, if they have a barcode feature. Otherwise, it must be visible in whose name the documents are written. Otherwise, it must be clearly visible in whose name all documents are written and all documents must be up to date.
• Approved pay slips must be attached for retired and actively working parents.
• If there are other people other than the mother and father (grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt, sibling, etc.) who provide a living for the family, the income status of these people must be documented according to the appropriate one of the following items and added to the file.

• Document Showing Whether Mother and Father Receive Home Care/Disability Pension
• Document Showing Separate Title Deed Information in the Name of Mother and Father,
• Vehicle Registration Certificate if there is a separate vehicle in the names of mother and father
• SGK Registration and Service List
• Documents Showing the Financial Situation of the Family

Delivery of Documents to the Foundation

• The following documents must be added to the application form. If any of the documents are missing, the application will be deemed invalid and will not be evaluated.

Important Notes

• The requested documents must be sent by Yurtiçi Kargo to the address Batıkent Mahallesi, Geven Sokak No: 5 / B Tepebaşı / Eskişehir, with the sender name stated as "Turkey SMA Foundation". Otherwise, the documents will not be received and will be returned.
• For each scholarship candidate, the application file must be prepared separately with all its documents.
• Students who win a scholarship will also be asked for their IBAN information in order for their scholarship to be deposited.
• As Türkiye SMA Foundation, candidates whose application documents are complete will be invited to the interview process.
• If any of the documents are missing, the application will be deemed invalid and will not be evaluated.
• Interview invitations will be notified to candidates via phone.

Scholar's Choice

• Evaluation of scholarship candidates is carried out through interviews and visits when necessary, in line with the criteria determined by the Turkey SMA Foundation Scholarship Commission. These evaluations include factors such as contributions to society, commitment to the Foundation, communication skills and participation in foundation activities, and needs. This process guides our Foundation's decision-making process regarding the selection of scholarship candidates and aims to ensure a fair selection process.

Payment of Scholarship

• Our scholarships are paid from September to June (10 months) for each academic year.
• Our Support for the Future Education Scholarship program is a non-refundable support offered to students to provide educational support. Within the scope of this scholarship, no refund is requested from scholars.

As Turkey SMA Foundation, we do not only focus on the academic success of our students when providing scholarship support, but also take their social responsibilities into consideration.
Support for the Future Education Every student who receives scholarship support, after graduation, will strive to introduce the mission and values ​​of the Turkey SMA Foundation to a wider audience in society within their means, make material or moral contributions, and be a guide for another young person who benefits from the same support. In addition, he voluntarily accepts and undertakes to become the ambassador of our foundation. Turkey SMA Foundation, being aware of this important mission, takes the educational support it provides to each scholar one step further and adopts an understanding of conscientious obligation.
