HOW SHOULD CLEANING THE NOSE BE DONE IN SMA PATIENTS?

Nasal Cleaning

• Wash your hands in accordance with hygienic hand washing rules.
• Wet the sponge (sterile gauze) with boiled cooled water.
• Clean the nose by gently wiping it.
• If there is dryness in the nose, during the aspiration process. Moisten the nose with physiological saline.
• If there is a feeding catheter (NG) in the nose, be more sensitive during the aspiration process.
