SMA Regional Laboratory was Established in Eskişehir.

SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), which is a genetically inherited, hereditary muscle disease. An important step has been taken to accelerate and disseminate screening tests, which are critical for prevention. In this context; Provincial Health Directorate with the support of our foundation, which carries out effective studies in the fight against SMA. Established by Eskişehir SMA Regional Laboratory was put into service.

While the test samples for determining SMA carrier status before marriage and pregnancy are sent to the central laboratory in Ankara, the samples of Eskişehir and surrounding provinces are now sent to the laboratory opened in Eskişehir. will be evaluated in the laboratory. The opening of the laboratory, which will accelerate the screening processes in the region and provide great benefits for public health, will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. It was carried out. The opening ceremony held in the Public Health Laboratory Building was attended by Eskişehir Governor Mr. Hüseyin Aksoy, Deputy General Director of Public Health Assoc. Dr. Erdoğan Öz, Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor Üzeyir Karakülah, Provincial Police Director; Tolga Yılmaz, Deputy Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Colonel Metin Ünlü;, Tepebaşı District Governor Sadettin Yücel, KOSGEB Eskişehir Provincial Director; Tarık Yılmaz, the board of directors and administrative staff of the Provincial Health Directorate and our Foundation attended.
