The Ministry of Health included the medicines of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) patients within the scope of reimbursement. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca stated that the health insurance system in Turkey is the most comprehensive social security application in the world and said: "Drugs used in the treatment of SMA Type-1 are already within the scope of SSI payment. As the Ministry, we have also processed individual patient applications for SMA Type-2 and Type-3. We have received the approval of the relevant board." Following this, applicants are informed.
